Ayr Town Centre Steering Group

The Ayr Town Centre Steering Group was formed in August 2014 following Ayr’s involvement in the BIDS project (Business Improvement District Scotland), having received European Funding to the sum of £716,000 to assist in various associated projects.

The group is comprised of individuals who represent retailers, business owners, Police Scotland, The Gaiety Theatre, Ayr Renaissance and South Ayrshire Council to name a few. The group is committed to supporting plans and proposals to improve the shopping experience within Ayr, as well as increasing footfall and working towards sculpting Ayr as ‘the’ shopping destination within Ayrshire.

The Ayr Town Centre Steering Group meet on a monthly basis and are keen to hear from Retailers and Business owners who believe they can positively contribute towards making Ayr a fantastic shopping and tourist destination
